Silverstone Half Marathon

So after a long build up after the winter season Jack and Gary headed off to Silverstone race track to see how their legs would fair over the longer distance!

The Dolphin Dash 19/5/13

StockleyPark 10K 12/5/13

Hayes and Harlington Roadrunners gave a strong performance in Sunday’s Stockley Park Multi-Terrain 10k. Gary Nisbet came 2nd overall with a time of 37.53 and was also part of the Mens Team winners with Jack Nisbet 14th in  42.24 and Peter Furness 15th in 42.39. Steve Barrington also ran well to finish 18th in 43.16 while John Shaw was the winner in the Mens 60 category with a time of 49.56. The club was also represented by Brian Skinner with a time of 56.40.

London Marathon 21/4/13

Members of Hayes and Harlington Roadrunners were in action this weekend at the London Marathon.
Their representatives were led home by Brian Rogers with a PB performance of 3.23.25, marathon veteran Steve Barrington came home in 3.46.28 and Katherine Rogan in her debut at the distance 5.23.24.

Black Park 200th 5K 20/4/13

Well done Peter for running in the 200th Black Park and for getting a great time just off his PB. He was 2nd in his age category, and overall 31st position. Martha also completed it for the first time.

Paris Marathon 7/4/13

Congratulations to Martha who ran her first marathon. She joined over 30,ooo people from 112 different countries to finish. She said it was an overwhelming experience!

Bournemouth Bay 1/2 Marathon 7/4/13

Jack & Gary ran last Sunday. It was a hard run with the wind along the front in their faces for 4 miles. They had to run up the cliffs a couples of times! Both were pleased with their brilliant times. Gary was 42nd and Jack was 84th (6 Vet 50+) out of over 1300.

Richmond Half Marathon 31/3/13

Easter weekend was busy for club runners. Paul and Brian ran in the inaugural Richmond 13.1. Over a multi terrain course covering Road, trail, slippery ice patches and even 3 flights of stairs at the end!

Paul took a full 8 minutes off his previous Half Marathon PB even after being off form due to illness whilst Brian took his foot off the gas a little as he prepares for the Virgin London Marathon.
