Summer Time Trial August 6th 2008 Patience finally pays off for Peter Furness, the long road to recovery following his knee operation earlier this year is over. Peter set a blistering pace to finish first. Results
BA 5K - Waterside Gary Nisbet finally leads his dad Jack home in a closely contested battle. Report Summer Time Trial July 2nd 2008 Steve Barrington after a sterling run finished in first position with a time of 28:32, Clare Lawlor again took over 2mins off her previous time to claim 2nd place. Sue Ford, Gary Nisbet and Jacqui Howell all put in improved performances to finish 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively. Results
Summer Time Trial June 4th 2008 Despite some quagmire patches on the course caused by recent rain and Heavy Plant Machinery crossing pathways, 11 members turned out for another closely contended trial. Peter Furness confirmed his return to fitness with an impressive run to finish in first place, closely followed by Clare Lawlor who continues to improve on her previous times. Steve Barrington, running only his second time round the course claimed 3rd place. The Nisbet family continue to test each other with dad Jack holding off son Gary in 4th & 5th places. Results
Concorde 10K Sunday May 11th 2008 A good turn out on a very hot day provided some surprising results, Jack Nisbet, unaffected by the temperature, lead the club home in 41:32min/sec, followed by Steve Barrington, in his debut run for the club, in 47:31mins/sec. Gary Nisbet followed in third with 50:26 , closely followed by Peter Furness 50:35, who claimed he was only going to jog round as it was his first run following knee surgery. Surprise! Surprise! the girls won the first ladies team prize. Summer Time Trial May 14th 2008
Twelve members turned out for the start of the summer series. A superb effort by Sue Ford, taking 3 mins off her expected time, gave her a well earned first place, she was followed closely by Jacqui Howell also taking 2 mins off her expected time. Keith Morris and Jack Nisbet both put in improved performances to finish 3rd & 4th respectively. Steve Barrington made his debut appearance and Peter Furness & Gary Fiddes made a comeback to the series. Results

Silverstone Half Marathon 9th March 2008 Jack make a last minute decision to run the Silverstone half, not only surprises himself with a respectfully time, but meets a former club member from 10 years past. Report

Summer Time Trials 2008 The course is approximately 4.1 miles in length and run over traffic free gravel paths in Stockley Park. The event is organised as a handicap race with starting times based on the previous month's finishing time. Points are awarded for finishing positions, 40 for 1st, 39 for 2nd and so on. The total of these points determine each runners position in the series table, with the winner finally being determined at the end of the series on their best 4 performances. Link to Map of site.

Club Championship Races 2008 Rules :- 1) Anyone can enter as long as they are a fully paid up member of HHRR 2) Every runner must submit a previous year's best time for each distance · 10K · 10 Miles · Half Marathon Arrangements will be made if no previous year's times are available. Note: NO TIMES = NO POINTS 3) Each member may run as many or as few races as he/she wants to, with the best 4 results counting towards the final position. 5) All competitors must take part in races of at least 2 distances. 6) The scoring will be: · 1000 points for equalling last year's PB in the respective distance · 1 point is deducted for every second slower than last year's PB · 1 point is added for every second faster than last year's PB
Please give your last years PB’s for all 3 distances to Jack or Paul. If you do not provide a time, you will be allocated a time which may not be correct and may hinder your chances of winning the championship.
