Silverstone Half Marathon 9th March 2008 Jack make a last minute decision to run the Silverstone half, not only surprises himself with a respectfully time, but meets a former club member from 10 years past. Report

Chiltern Pools Charity Indoor Triathlon Gary Nisbet highly recommends this event as introduction to a Triathlon. Report

Horsenden Hill Cross Country 19th January 2008 Gary Nisbet steps up to his first senior level X/C, and leads his dad home in quite challenging conditions. Report
Winter Time Trials January 2008 Paul Evans nicked another first place, may be subject to a stewards inquiry?. 10 members made the line up, and contested a fierce battle for positions. Results. Cliveden Cross Country 30th December 2007 Jack Nisbet was our sole club runner in this one of our most popular events, however, Jack maintained his usual form to finish in 47:04 min/sec (46th position of 496 finishers). Winter Time Trial - December The ladies continue to apply the pressure on the men with Sue Ford leading the first four ladies home in a well supported field. Results

Winter Time Trial - November Nicola Dowling starts the winter time trial series off in fine style to lead a strong ladies field home in first place. Results
Stevenage Half Marathon 4th November 2007 The final event in the Club Championship sees Ryan Jones achieve his best time for a half marathon this year (1:35:23), but is it enough to clinch the title? all will be revealed at the club presentations. Tony Kent also gave a remarkable performance to finish in 1:46:43, followed by Brian Skinner (1:58:36) and Mel Jones (1:59:21).
Cabbage Patch 10 14th October 2007 A good turn out for the penultimate Club Championship event leads up to an exciting climax. It was probably one of the Clubs first in that the ladies section outnumbered the men. Ryan Jones continues to apply the pressure in leading the men's team home. Report/Results
Manuden 10K 7th October 2007 Michelle returns from holiday expecting an easy run, no PB's on this one. Report
Summer Time Trial 4th September 2007 Despite the early start to beat the looming dusk, 12 members made the start line. Mel Jones put in a fine performance finishing first in 28:11min/sec, followed by Paul Evans having his best run of the summer. Ian Smith finished strongly in third place having declared at the start his intention of an easy run due to a foot injury. The overall winner of the series remains a mystery but is surely to be a close thing. Results
Stockley Park 5 Sunday 2nd September 2007 Mark Woodman of Road Runners Club, improves on last years third Position (1st Vet) to win first place overall. Mark set a blistering pace, finishing in 28:11min/sec, testing the lead cyclist over a very challenging course. We were pleased to host members from 26.2 Road Runners club (16 runners), and Reading Road Runners (8) runners, who used the event to promote their own clubs Championships. Both clubs featured in the individual prize list and Reading Road Runners taking the first Club Team prize. Jack Nisbet led the home club to finish in 32:12min/sec (20sec improvement on last year.)
Summer Time Trial 15th August 2007 The weather my have had a bearing on the number turned out, but certainly didn't dampen the fierce battle for maximum points between father and son, as Gary Nisbet just held off the challenge for first place from his dad Jack Nisbet. Both Sue Ford and Robin Nettleton achieved PB's to finish 3rd & 4th respectiviely. All credit to our timekeeper Colin Aldous who turns up regardless what the weather. Results
Target Zero Sunday 12th August 2007 It took a fall to put Gary Nisbet within 1 sec of his Target zero time and win the overall prize, however, it could be argued that his dad could possibly have hit his target if he had stopped to help his son, as he was 1min 18 sec quicker than predicted. Jacqui Howell was the second nearest to her target zero within 3 secs. Pam Swadling took the wooden spoon in the shape of a bottle Californian Wine for being the furthest away from her target zero. Amazingly all ten runners finished within 1min 19 sec of predicted time. A fine BBQ was enjoyed by all back the centre by courtesy of Jacqui Howell and Michelle Sampson. A special thanks to Colin Howell who did an excellent job on the BBQ. Results
Wedding Day 7k Friday 27th July 2007 Not only did she see lots of Deer, Michelle did a PB of over 2mins in Bushy Park. Report Michelle Sampson: 35.37 Brian Skinner: 36.10 Jacqui Howell: 45.11
Summer Time Trial 18th July 2007 A return of form by Tom Waugh saw him take first place in a fiercely contested finish from Gary Nisbet & Ian Smith. A brave effort by Sue Ford was enough to see her cross the line in fourth place. Results Elmbridge 10K Sunday 15th July 2007 Ryan Jones led the challenge from club members to finish in 42:32 for 146th place out of 525 finishers. He was followed home by Mick McGuigan in 43:30 (163rd), Ian Smith 45:59 (210th), Mel Jones 52:36 (244th) and Sean Smith 56:21 (411th).
Harry Hawkes 8 Sunday 1st July 2007 Michelle Sampson in top 20 finish. (Report) Hayes & Harlington Road Runners ignored the wet weather to take part in a couple of events over the weekend. Michelle was 16th in the senior ladies and 225th overall out of 375 finishers in the Harry Hawkes Eight mile event on Sunday, stopping the clock at 1hr 9min 37secs. On Saturday at the Datchet Dash 10K Ryan Jones recorded 41mins 44secs for 136th place, followed by Ian Smith (45:35, 249th), Sharon Nettleton (47:58, 333rd) and Mel Jones (51:58, 489th) out of 855 finishers. A week earlier Martin Keegan managed 43:12 (149th and Sharon Nettleton clocked 50:32 (270th) in a field of 400. (Hayes Gazette 4th July)
SummerTime Trial Wednesday 20th June First three runners to finish set themselves stiff qualifying times to follow, with Ryan Jones claiming maximum points. Results
Saturday 16th June Eleven members enjoyed a pleasant evening at the ASK restaurant Uxbridge. Thanks to Michelle and Jacqui for arranging.
BA Speedbirds Ladies 5k Wednesday 13th June 2007 Sharon led the team home to take 1st Vet, 3rd place overall and 2nd team prize. Report
Henham 10k Sunday 10th June 2007 Michelle was very proud to win the Ugley contest, she was also delighted to be first lady in the 16-35 category. Report.
Concorde 10K & Fun Run Sunday 13th May 2007 Gary Nesbit started the Concorde races in style, taking first place in the Fun Run, and we had some good performances in the 10k despite, or perhaps because, of the cool, wet conditions. Report
London Marathon Sunday 22nd April 2007 Congratulations to all our members who completed the marathon in difficult conditions. Paris Half Marathon Sunday 11th March 2007 Peter Furness travels to France for his 7th run of the Paris half marathon, and surprises himself with a PB for the event. Report
Lakeside Canal Run 12 km Sunday 21 St January 2007 Peter Ford battles against strong winds and hilly terrain to add to his treasure trough of race medals. (Report)
New Years Day 10K Peter Furness starts the year off with his annual run in Hyde Park over 400 other participants. Report
Winter Time Trials 2006/07 March 2007 Jacqui Howell's efforts to secure first place in final Time Trial of the series thwarted as she approached finish line by Tony Kent. Results

Club Championship Races 2008 Rules :- 1) Anyone can enter as long as they are a fully paid up member of HHRR 2) Every runner must submit a previous year's best time for each distance · 10K · 10 Miles · Half Marathon Arrangements will be made if no previous year's times are available. Note: NO TIMES = NO POINTS 3) Each member may run as many or as few races as he/she wants to, with the best 4 results counting towards the final position. 5) All competitors must take part in races of at least 2 distances. 6) The scoring will be: · 1000 points for equalling last year's PB in the respective distance · 1 point is deducted for every second slower than last year's PB · 1 point is added for every second faster than last year's PB
Please give your last years PB’s for all 3 distances to Jack or Paul. If you do not provide a time, you will be allocated a time which may not be correct and may hinder your chances of winning the championship.
